{"id":46386,"date":"2024-01-05T21:06:38","date_gmt":"2024-01-06T03:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/?post_type=news&#038;p=46386"},"modified":"2024-01-17T12:04:33","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T18:04:33","slug":"ccpb-srl-withdrawal-of-cb-accreditation-for-bangladesh-and-india","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/news\/ccpb-srl-withdrawal-of-cb-accreditation-for-bangladesh-and-india\/","title":{"rendered":"CCPB SRL \u2013 Withdrawal of CB Accreditation for Bangladesh and India\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As outlined in our <a href=\"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/news\/ccpb-srl-suspension-of-cb-accreditation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">initial statement on August 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2023<\/a>, IOAS, CCPB SRL (CCPB)\u2019s accreditation body, suspended their accreditation for Bangladesh and India for all Textile Exchange Standards. However, IOAS has now withdrawn their accreditation to all Textile Exchange standards for Bangladesh and India scopes only effective January 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2024 (please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/ioas.org\/accreditation\/sanctions-and-accreditation-withdrawals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement on the IOAS website<\/a>). <strong>CCPB\u2019s certified clients in Bangladesh and India must now seek certification services from and transfer their certification services to another accredited certification body no later than April 2<\/strong><strong><sup>nd<\/sup><\/strong><strong>, 2024 to maintain certification<\/strong> as all scope certificates issued by CCPB for Bangladesh and India will be considered withdrawn after that date.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that <strong>CCPB clients in countries other than Bangladesh and India are <\/strong><strong>not<\/strong><strong> affected by this change<\/strong>, as the withdrawal is limited to Bangladesh and India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transaction certificates previously issued by CCPB are still considered valid \u2013 unless otherwise notified by CCPB or<\/strong> <strong>Textile Exchange<\/strong>. CCPB is <strong>not<\/strong> permitted to issue transaction certificates for Bangladesh or India scope certificates for shipments made after January 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2024. However, CCPB may continue to issue transaction certificates for valid scope certificates in Bangladesh and India for shipments made before January 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2024, and issuance of transaction certificates in all other countries included in their accreditation remains unaffected. To authenticate a transaction certificate issued by CCPB, please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/authenticate-transaction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Textile Exchange transaction certificate portal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/documents\/procedure-for-the-withdrawal-of-certification-body-licensing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Withdrawal of Certification Body Licensing<\/a> procedure (ASR-112) details the requirements for certification bodies in such cases. We recognize the burden that this creates for the clients of this certification body since they may require another audit and be subject to its additional costs.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a certified client of CCPB for Bangladesh and\/or India, you should have already received their notification or will shortly, but here are some next steps and resources to assist you with the process:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review <a href=\"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/certification-bodies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this page of certification bodies<\/a> licensed to certify to the relevant Textile Exchange standard(s) in your region and immediately contact them for quotes to become newly certified by them. In some cases, a simplified transfer audit may be possible.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inform the chosen succeeding certification body of the circumstance and provide them with a copy of this communication.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>When an organization transfers between certification bodies <\/strong>(from the \u201cpreceding certification body\u201d to the \u201csucceeding certification body\u201d, including when the transfer occurs at recertification), <strong>the succeeding certification body may issue transaction certificates for shipments from the time when the organization was certified with the preceding certification body, provided that all of the conditions of <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/textileexchange.org\/knowledge-center\/documents\/policy-for-transaction-certificates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>ASR-104-v3.1 Policy for Scope Certificates<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>, section A8.5 are met<\/strong>. Please contact your certification body for more information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>While Textile Exchange is disappointed by this situation and the conditions that will impact site certifications, these circumstances reflect the integrity and consistency of our assurance system.
